Biography

Jennifer Lorvick, DrPH, has more than two decades of experience specializing in community-based research that addresses social and structural determinants of health, such as homelessness, substance use, criminal legal system involvement and racism. She also studies the epidemiology of infectious diseases such as HIV, HCV and sexually transmitted infections among urban poor populations.

Dr. Lorvick is currently a Senior Public Health Scientist in the Community Health and Implementation Research Program (CHIRP) at RTI International. Her current work includes an evaluation of a County-level response to COVID-19 among unhoused residents, a study of health care utilization among women on community supervision and an assessment of how polysubstance use influences risk for opioid overdose.
