Addressing Emotional Wellness Among COVID-19 Informal First-Responders: REJOICE-P
Given the specific need of pastors serving as informal first responders, this supplement seeks to refine the existing REJOICE intervention to provide pastors with skills to improve personal emotional wellness related to serving on the first-lines of the COVID-19 pandemic and build the capacity of pastors to adequately respond to the emotional needs of rural African Americans.
Examining the Role of Sleep Disturbances in Contributing to Health Risk Behaviors and Cardiometabolic Outcomes in Urban Native American Youth
This project aims to examine how COVID-19 has affected American Indian/Alaskan Native communities, including changes in sleep, risk-taking behaviors, mental health, routines, behaviors, and family/community dynamics.

This project examines ways in which the COVID-19 pandemic amplifies the socio-cultural stressors and health disparities experienced by Mexican-origin, low-income adolescents who are making the transition to young adulthood.

This project aims to study the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic primarily on farmworker families that have been exposed to the health sequelae of pesticide exposure over the life course from in utero to adulthood.
Post-Hurricane Cancer Care: Patient Needs after Hurricane Maria
The team is expanding assessments to include the impact of COVID-19 and the earthquakes’ secondary hazards (social isolation, unemployment, healthcare services disruption, structural damage) on stress biomarkers and changes in multilevel determinants of health.
