Biography
Carol Hamilton leads a group of scientists with expertise in biology, computer science and computational biology. With training in genetics, biochemistry, and molecular biology, Dr. Hamilton has developed new technologies in bacterial genetics, agricultural biotechnology and high-throughput genomics. Her professional experience includes contributions to the development of data analysis pipelines, methods for analysis of complex genomic data (systems biology), and the development of data visualization tools that link genomic data to biochemical pathways.
She is currently the Principal Investigator for PhenX (consensus measures for Phenotypes and eXposures), a cooperative agreement funded by the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) and the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) of the National Institutes of Health.
